The resort is ~ 30 minutes from the airport and ~ 10 minutes from downtown Puerto Vallarta. It is very accessible by cab or Uber.

Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR)

The resort offers roundtrip private transport for $188 per room (reach out to hola@holaweddings.com to book). However, a cab or Uber will be cheaper.

• There is a taxi stand at the airport to prepay the established rate based on zone. You can view the USD taxi rates here ($35 for sedan and $69 for van). It is cheaper if you pay in pesos (~$25 for sedan and ~$49 for van).

• Ubers are usually slightly cheaper than taxis. Uber pickup is across the street (via pedestrian bridge) from the airport.

You MUST have a passport to travel to Mexico.

• If you do not have a passport, apply for one ASAP as they can take months to process.

• If you do have a passport, check the expiration date now. The expiration must be AFTER October 2026. Mexico can deny entry if your passport expires within 6 months of travel.

Sean & Ali will be there from 2/28/26-3/8/26. We would love for everyone to come for as many days as they are able. We will have a welcome party most likely on that Wednesday and would like to schedule a group excursion one day. More details to come.

The local currency is pesos. The current exchange rate is ~ $20 pesos to $1 USD. It is a good idea to have pesos for tipping and if you are going into downtown. You can take out pesos at the bank ATMs at the airport or the ATMs at Hyatt Ziva.

Puerto Vallarta is ranked the second safest city in Mexico and is a top tourist destination. When going downtown, exercise the same caution you would in any major city and do not use any ATMs that are not attached to banks. The resort is gated with security and everyone must have their name on the guest list to enter.
